Applications and use
Each panel has two LEDs that supply light to the randomly patterned fiber stars. When turned on the fibers shine white in color with some fibers shimmering creating a starry night sky effect. Great for home theatres, music and media rooms, and bedrooms, StarEFX panels can be used in commercial environments for restaurants, cafes and reception areas. The star lighting panels are a great visual feature while absorbing sound in noisy environments.
Operation
Power is supplied to the first panel from the 12v power supply with any additional panels connected via a daisy chain link. A wall switch will be required or an optional remote power outlet can be fitted to the GPO for wireless on/off operation. Each panel is fixed to the plaster ceiling with 6 screws.

Install requirements
- Philips screwdriver

Measurements
1. Determine the panel’s orientation to be mounted onto the ceiling
2. Mark out the area on the ceiling where the panel will be mounted
3. Mark out the area where the power supply will be inserted through the ceiling
Power
1. Cut the hole for the power supply (65mm (2-1/2") hole if inserting the power supply from underneath the ceiling)
2. With the power turned off, plug the power supply into the power outlet
StarEFX panel
1. Remove the panel from its packaging and note the two figure-8 connection cables -
Cable A: Red and Red/Black with NO connectors on the end.
Cable B: Red and Red/Black WITH connectors on the end.
When installing a single panel only, then only cable A is used.
2. Raise the panel towards the ceiling to connect cable A into the corresponding connectors from the power supply.
3. Conceal the connected cable onto the panel and lift the panel into the marked out position ready for fixing
4. Fix the panel with the 6 plaster anchors using a phillips screwdriver.
Note:
- Over tensioning will result in piercing through the fiberglass face. Be sure to fix the screws without
over-tensioning.
- The supplied anchors should only be used in 0.4" to 0.51" thick drywall, concrete slabs, and masonry.
It MUST NOT be used for timber or metal batten applications.
5. Turn on StarEFX lights
